Nathan's podcast

Inspired by the reaction my opening set at Jambalaya got, I decided to record a similar set and try to get it as tight as possible technically. So here's the result.

Here I am playing the closing set at the Jambalaya Restaurant and Bar in downtown Arcata. I am playing hard techstep pretty much the entire way through, featuring Break & Silent Witness, Spirit, Phobia, Calyx, Survival, Apex, Kemal, Verse, Cause4Concern, Morphy, Stakka & Skynet, Noisia, Vicious Circle & Sabre. Featuring Zach Funk on the mic, with guest microphone cameos by DJ Space, Mixmaster Crushington, Jan Van Lier and JSun.

This is my first attempt at making a more progressive and possibly chilled out Drum & Bass mix. The levels are a little quiet at times and the bass nob on the mixer crackles a little, but besides that it is technically ok.

I was trying to cover all my influences here, from jazz to reggae, fusion, progressive rock, classical etc. In terms of drum & bass the mix starts off as smoothed out tech step then moves into liquid then into atmospheric based tracks.
